On the 17th of October 1994, CTA International was formed as a Joint Venture between Giat Industries (now KNDS France) and Royal Ordnance (now BAE Systems). Over the last 30 years, we have developed and qualified the innovative and powerful 40 Cased Telescoped Armament System (40CTAS) which is now going into service with the British Army and the French Army.
Exactly 30 years later, we celebrated this anniversary with a day full of sharing and exchange, bringing together our current Managing Director and Chairman, our shareholders and their representatives, our Authorities, our board members, former Managing Directors and colleagues, many key players in the defence sector. This milestone was marked with presentations of our 40CTAS system and ammunition, with spotlights on our suppliers and production process, as well as vehicles showcasing full integration of the weapon system.
As Heather Beeby, Managing Director, stated : “We have made impressive strides over the last 30 years and now we are at an inflection point, where we build on all the hard work, problem solving and ingenuity displayed by many of you here today and go forward by growing our user base and taking our 40mm Cased Telescoped Armament System into a modern, operational environment that is looking for precision, enhanced performance, and durability.”
