As pioneers in Cased Telescoped Armament Systems, we strive to maintain a competitive edge in technology and innovation

company

CTA International is a 50/50 Joint Venture Company founded in 1994 between Royal Ordnance (BAE Systems) and Giat Industries (NEXTER Systems) based in Bourges/France. With an integrated workforce of one hundred highly talented technicians, the Company is dedicated to development, qualification, production and In-Service Support of the 40CTAS.

As Design Authority, CTA International grants production licenses for 40CT ammunition. The current two 40CT ammunition licensees are Nexter Arrowtech (France) and BAE Systems (UK).

Our top-down systems approach to gun and ammunition design has enabled CTA International to push the technical boundaries and reach a level of performance unobtainable by a weapon or ammunition designer in isolation.

CTA International continues to improve the 40CTAS, including the integration of innovative firing functions and the design of new ammunition to defeat current and future threats.

A WORD FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR

The 40mm Cased Telescoped Armament System is built to ensure superior firepower and precision on the battlefield, for today and tomorrow.

Bringing the design to life. A modular and inter-connected organisation

In its capacity as Design Authority, CTA International guarantees extremely rigorous and precise production monitoring.

The organisation covers all phases of production: product ionisation, supply chain, assembly and testing. We have a real-time digital monitoring platform (traceability of all components) guaranteeing the conformity of the components and validating each assembly step. Each intervention is recorded and validated by a certified fitter via a connected handheld device populating the automated customer quality documentation.

Each workstation is audited annually by the quality department. The training of multi-tasking fitters is extremely rigorous.

Each fitter is trained by an expert tutor, each intervention being subject to a validation of skills until the certificate is obtained.
